TZÍTZIKAS [Τζίτζικας] is the Greek word for cicada—one of Maria’s favorite insects and an iconic symbol of Greek summers.

“We decided to dedicate one of our favorite suites to Tzitzikas, because, according to the classic Aesop fable Ο Τζίτζικας και ο Μέρμικας [The Ant and the Grasshopper, originally cicada], the cicada truly knows the art of pleasure and relaxation, and is a local legend indeed,” Christos adds.
By the way, Aesop lived and wrote his 135 fables in Samos!
